I drove up to Whiting on my lunch hour and took some pictures of the lake. I'm not done editing but one of those will go in the B&W side challenge. It sure was good to see the sun again, even if it didn't last long.

In the background are the steel mills of Gary, Indiana, alone with the haze over the lake just above the horizon.

The contrast between the bright blue sky and white snow and clouds is unbelievable. The lone tree so barren makes me yearn from spring.

Love that beautiful blue sky peaking through the clouds and how it contrasts with the bleak landscape below. The one lone tree reminds us there's still life in winter.

i love that long wide perspective! great composition with the rocks off to the side, anchoring the view...that lake looks cold

Would like to know how you do this HDR. Where can I find some info. Are there any recommended websites. Your HDR photos always seem to have so much depth and clarity.
