A little screech owl who has lived in a tree across the road from the main entrance to the "Dollywood" theme park for over 3 years now.
I had gone riding around with my son, and had only my camera and 18-70mm zoom, so this was the best that I could get with only 70mm hand held. It's cropped to about 1/4 of the original image.

LOL, I love the caption! He's so camoflauged by the tree how did you notice him? To me the tree looks like a man about to swallow the owl.

The texture in the tree is nicely captured. I like how the owl and tree share some of the same reddish brown tones.

Great capture of this cool bird. Love the texture of the tree, too. If you relax your eyes, it's almost an abstract.
