 Day 12

This is Duke, a lab puppy that stayed briefly where my wife keeps her horse. He was very funny and full of energy, always playing with his brother Oscar. I always joke that if you could bottle a puppies enrgy and sell it you would be the richest person in the world. Even with all the playing and rough housing there were moments that the hunter that he was bread to be showed itself and I felt this was one of those fleeting moments. I used a canvas texture that I got off of flickr and erased most of the texture from his face.

This is in my favs, and I have to say, every time I open that page and see this little, serious face peering at me, I am so moved. It's a wonderful photo. Too bad he's not yours and we can see more photos of his growth. But in any case, you captured a poignant moment in this puppy's life.

Steady and reliable. Such a depth to the expression you captured here. I'd be darn proud of this shot if it were mine. Texture frames his head very well.

Wow - this is so good! You can tell that wee Duke is going to be a good dog. The eyes are almost human. Excellent processing.
