 This is the bandstand that the IRA bombed in 1982 during a lunchtime recital, in front of 120 people. I was out looking for a location to shoot an SP and this seemed ideal. I re-edited my original idea to tonemap it to convey a much darker feel, even though this was about an hour from sunset (i.e. clear daylight). I used to play on this as a kid but after that bomb we never went back...and then I grew up, so this was the first time back in a long long time. Makes me want to be an anti-terrorist terrorist...

Lit from two 430s at my feet at 45 degrees either side to bring my legs out from against the background - the light on my face is actually from the sun.

PP: convert from raw, tonemapped and gradient blended parts from two exposures created from same original, then usual.

It is bad when people resort to that kind of violence to get attention to their problems. There are truly some warped minded people who will do anything to try to advance their agenda, or to try to bring change in the status quo.

You look like a 10' tall man. I really enjoy the shadow play on the dome, gives this nice spooky feeling and adds to the overall darker feel you were going for. Very well done I enjoy this image, and clever using the two 430s and sun for lighting.

Ok, from the thumbnail I thought you were the guy from the movie Big Trouble in Little China. (The electric guy that wore that huge basket on his head.) I like the edited version best, looks very sci-fi to me.

You almost made that look like a spaceship... The processing is very funky and fun though, I like it!! Neat how you made it look like night... I would like to see a couple of stars ;)
