 The desaturation was applied to everything that was not red. Did not realise it was possible without using selection tools, but followed the guide on here to do it to the whole image (thanks to the author). Had originally planned on buying some 'fake blood', but did not have time and improvised with what was in the kitchen. So for anyone interested the blood is made from juice from a jar of Beetroot slices mixed with ketchup (it does not taste nice in case anyone is wondering) :-)

Bread will cause you to be fat, but I have never had my bread bleed. I think that the lighting could have been just a bit more dramatic to add a little bit more of a darker tone to the shot. Maybe Black and White?

Interesting idea. I like the color for the red but would like more in the rest of the photo.

I saw the sequel 'Death Bread II' nowhere near as good in my opinion, same old story line, car chases etc etc . . . went straight to Video.

To be honest I'm not sure where you are going with this. I can see that you have a nice (and expensive) taste in kitchen knives, and a big pile of yucky looking bread . . I get a bit lost after that. Is it a word play ? or am I just being dense ? I might come back later and look again, see if it is clearer then.

guess you can't claim that no slices of bread were harmed in your picture. the selective desat works well to bring out the "blood". even the overexposed spots contrast well with the dark parts.
