Aperture: f4
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/60

Date Uploaded: Feb 9, 2008

Taken at the Ottawa winter Carnival, before dawn. Than goodness there were security guards posted around the ice sculptures, since it was a bit creepy to be there in the dark, all alone.
Tweaked in DPP, slight crop, some minor dodge and burn, a touch of hue/sat, sharpen, saved for web.

This is really creative & it's nice to see frozen water amist all of the boring old melted water most entries have. High marks for that and not letting the whites get too out of control/blown out. The green light on the chest draws my attention from his face and I wish the interesting colors drew me towards his facial features instead. nIce compostion overall :P

This is a tough image to comment on (at least for me, heehee). It's excellent image quality, but the subject just isn't that interesting to me, and that feels not too polite to say. But I'm trying to make an effort at helpful comments, so I'll say it and hope it's not offensive. The colors are nice, and I'm sure the ice sculpture took a lot of work to make, but I guess I would like to see some life there, maybe the person in the act of creating the sculpture, for example. Good luck on the challenge and keep shooting!
