I took this photo during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. It is wonderful to see the city come alive while still so many people are living in FEMA trailers, broken down homes or out of state. Mardi Gras on a sunny day is like walking in a dream: colorful, happy, surreal. I used natural light and a fisheye lens. I cropped the image down to what I thought told a more interesting story.

very good candid, blending foreground and background images so seamlessly that it is a pleasing surprise to figure out which is where.
