There was this Chinese New Year celebration in my apartment complex, so I went and took tons of pictures in burst mode. FX55's 7 FPS is amazing. I took 1277 photos in total, in about an hour.
Levels, Contrast, Temperature, Sharpness, and Reduce Noise in iPhoto '08.

This picture really doesn't show any movement but it is still a nice shot.

I don't really get the sense that you were working hard to pan this shot. It seems to me to be a slow shutter at work.

There is not much background motion, so the subject actually looks fairly stationary to me. Try a longer shutter. A little overexposed, but I like the dragon's colors.

probably need something a little faster moving so the background looks to be in motion instead of blurry

too much going on here for me. parts of the white lion are blown out (at least on this monitor).

Borderline bokeh, not enough panning technique to get a good effect
