Day 4. Decided I needed to do something other than close crop 50mm stuff but then realised I've got no room here to shoot anything without the enormous amount of clutter getting in shot. Hung my black material over some junk and shot this...as wide as I can get in here. Lit from 2x430ex - one front camera left, the other high camera right.

I like the way that you've tucked your head in between guitar neck and body, although I find the shadow of your hand a little distracting.

I've never seen a bass guitar with an acoustic body like that before. Is it really a six-string guitar with bass trings?
Maybe the crop on your arms is too excessive, but it's a good character portrait.

Great use of b/w. (I think b/w and acoustics were made for each other) Great expression and framing. Very nice calm feel to the shot.

would have liked to see the hand on the neck on the bass or positioned differently, but other then that its a great shot. good job!

Good comp, but your black shirt and black BG tend to merge. Another color shirt would have worked well. Your left hand doesn't look quite right, but what feels comfortable, oftend doesn't look like it, as I'm finding out myself.

I have to agree that the left hand looks a little awkward and that you blend into the background a little much, perhaps using one of those flashes to seperate you from the bg? I love the expression on your face though, the bass makes me very happy too :)

Very nice, its a cool b/w portrait, however my only thought is that your left hand seems to be awkward. Not that I play or would even know where the hands go, it just seems off. But hey, thats minor, this is a nice image well done.

I REALLY need to start playing around with light. This is really nice, and a great choice for b&w. Definitely feel your "pain" about not having room! :)

It looks like the bass makes you happy! I like it in B&W, I think it helps focus the viewers eye on you and the guitar.
