Went for a ride today & thought I'd take a few pics on the tracks, I know I'm already slacking from my "different techniques" sorry, I had planned on doing the displacement map thing but couldn't remember how & I don't have the book here to look...

I too like the color version better as I has a nice warm feel to it. As dwterry pointed out the blue jeans contrast the natural colors nicely. Great shot with a nice feel...

Centering works nicely here, but I'm wondering if I would like to see you to one side or the other and the vanishing point off center just a tad.

I prefer the color ... because I can see your face better and because I kinda like the blue and gold patterns of the railroad ties and the rocks.

i also like the color better. because your hair is so pretty from the sunlight, and your whole scene is in a neutral beigey tone. good job.

I like the color one better, hence the reason I'm commenting on it. There is good depth. I would have preferred seeing more of the tracks past you, but that's a very minor detail. Awesome job.
