I like this type of ad. "less is more" works really well in the real world. I'd like to see a deeper DOF to keep everything in focus. I think that would really make this ad pop.

Very, very nice job. Nice macro shot and your DOF could not be better. Composition is excellent. Some nit-pickers may mark you down for the slight tilt of the jeans, but I think it enhances this photo.
