Day 1 of the 30d SP. I needed to shave my head and face anyway and figured day 1 would be a good day to do it. Was going to just show a clean shaven me, but took a before and after shot and decided it would be fun to merge them...HDTR style without the HD :)

I know the left hand side is out of focus, or rather the DoF is screwed - but I've got a really busy day ahead so it'll have to do..and the hair is gone, so it's too late...

yes, out of focus, but i like the idea behind it. So as long as you try!

It's funny that your eyes are not looking in the same direction on both shots. Gives a quirky, "guess-what-I-can-do" feeling. the fact that the two shots are not perfectly aligned emphasizes that feeling too.

LOL, great fun shot. I don't think I'll try that technique! My hair grows fast, just not fast enough to try your experiment.

Although hard I would have liked to see this come out perfectly lined up. Good start.

cool idea, too bad it didn't come out exactly how you wanted it. I'm keen to see what you come up with next.

This is great, I enjoy two-sided shots like this. I did a similar one for my other sp project. However, I did shave off half my head and goat-tee then take the picture so no post needed L()L. You did a nice job here as it is hard to get the same lighting/feel/stuff when you leave and come back. My personally I would have liked a bit more graduation or fading between the two so there was not just a solid line. Great start to the challenge.

This is kinda freaky looking. I think it would have looked better if The sides were lined up better.

Very tough to get these kinds of shots to look just right, exact same pose, mouth matching, etc. I agree about the left side, it's a bit OOF and the lighting looks different too. Can't wait to see what else you have planned.

Great idea. Though I wish you were looking directly at the camera with both eyes!

LOL, I wish I would have thought of something like that when I got my hair cut! Shaving makes you look younger.
