Challenge: Architecture IV (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-30D
Lens: Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Location: Hampstead, London
Date: Jan 29, 2008
Aperture: f10
ISO: 100

Just as I left home this evening to go shoot it started to rain, so I managed to get off about 10 shots before it was too much. This shot had to be cropped at the top because the plastic bag I was holding it was in shot (darn 180 fisheye) but it's the best I could salvage. Definitely echoes of my Abandoned Buildings challenge.

In the end I really like this shot. There's a rain drop at the top of the stack that isn't good, and the whole thing feels a bit more claustrophobic than intended with the crop. I also wish I'd separated the chimney in the background a bit more by moving left a foot, but hey, I was panicking as the rain was starting to fall.

Not sure if the DNMC posse will hate this as not explicitly representing a particular building or architecture, but there are multiple architectures here and I really liked the shapes. The fisheye rocks for this kind of a shot imho.

I'd like to think this will do averagely and not badly - 5.5-5.8 would work for me.

Post Challenge: Another prediction just about spot on and am happy with that. Nice to be able to turn out 5.8s on demand but I need to start pushing it up to regular 6s on demand.

Very cool location and lighting. Could have a bit more contrast to me. I love the street in this picture. Definately caught at the right time of day/night. Good wirk

Nice mood set in this photo. I'll be interested to see what lens it was shot with, since it has very little distortion at the bottom side but a lot up top.

This is more of a street scene, not necessarily an "architectural" photograph, but nicely done.
