I took this photo in the corner of my room. Once again I added the wood wallpaper to make it look older. I printed out a song got a quill and ink and used a candlestick with lit candles. I also had a spotlight shining on the paper to accent it more however I did have the spotlight very low so not to give to much away from the light given from the candles. I just wanted the letter and quill lit up more if I didn't have the spotlight you couldn't see the paper at all. I could have had it more lit up but I did want to go for that more older feel and time for this photo.

I really like this picture. The second person I've seen with this general idea, but the lighting is so well done.

Yes, defently before the time of e-mail, and it seems like I've seen a lot of fethered pens and paper

With the addition of a spotlight on the letter and quill, this would be a great shot.

if you were to do anything differently, I'd suggest painting the letter with a flashlight to anchor the viewer on it. Right now, the candles steal the show.

Good concept, but even though the message is not having light, you need more light to illustrate the subject.

I don't care for the overly yellow color cast (I just checked how it would look without that and found it way better), but I like the subject and the composition. Nice little setup.

looks very old fashion. i love the way the glow of the candle isn't solid, there is some around it. you notice all the little things like the rose print of the table cloth and how the feather leans to the right which fills more space. love the photograph.

I would have focused on the letter, but it's still pretty.

great feel from the photo and i think the light is just right, could have used a slight bit more possibly.

hmmm, interesting one here. I think if you had had another light source directed towards the scroll this would have popped out and grabbed you. 8
