I probably should be saving this for the overlays challenge, because it's manufactured.

This is one of the gulls from yesterday. He was heading into the wind and just hanging there, motionless against the sky. I did see another bird hanging with the moon in the background, but I missed the shot and the birds would never go back and pose for me. So.... I took a picture of the moon and figured I could just copy the moon and drop it into another picture. Once I got home, it started to really bother me that the moon wasn't full. My solution was to enlarge the moon picture, and then take the clone stamp using a hard round brush and clone a section of the moonand put it behind the bird. A little grain and diffuse glow and this is the result. Photoshop is great.

I like the effect and it is nice to get the look we saw but weren't able to capture. All with the magic of Photoshop.

It is fun to re-frame reality sometimes. I might soften the moon to match the softness in the bird.

Well done. That gull looks so happy to float there. Great job on the moon.

I like the concept behind this, although I can't help feeling that the gull is neither sharp enough nor blurred enough, if you know what I mean.

Very beautiful - dreamy and ethereal. I love how we can create our world how we want it with help of Photoshop. Maybe that's what God did - she has a kickass version of Photoshop - like CS 10000. You can still put this in the Overlay side - I'm sure nobody will mind.
