| Great shot in habitat. Underrated because the average voter know nothing about birds. I agree that the center of focus needs to be on the eye not the sides. But I've been trying for a good shot of a woodcock for three years!! |

| A little hot, maybe 1/2 stop. contrast right on the edge of too high. very nice focus and nice catchlight in the eyes. |

| Very nice colours in this, however the bird would benefit from being a little sharper IMO |

| Something strange about this shot. Not sure what it is. The photo itself is good, I like it. Somehow I get the impression of a museum display or something. |

| Very well suited for his environment - he matches his surrounds very nicely! Nice even light and good work with DOF to set your subject apart enough to be clearly seen despite his best attempts at camoflauge. |
