real bird - real cold -20C ..
cloned out some crap
shadow/hilite adjust
sharpen
hand held from 100meters+ (100yards)
out of 6 images this was sharpest - still sucked ..
few mins later the lens got cold & couldn't focus (greese freezes up ..)

and no... i did not retouch the eyes ...

Nice composition and I like how the bird and the branches are the same colour. Good camouflage on the birds part.

7 - Nice image. Wonder about a variation in composition/crop - perhaps cropping to the tip of that far right branch and centering the bird, or else more off center 'somehow', but your call, of course.

A very good example of how well birds can blend in with their surroundings - his colors match perfectly with the tree and the sky!

Nice sharpness on the eye and interesting framing with the branch. Sky is a little flat but I doubt the bird was willing to hang around til some nice cloud formations drifted by. Bird blends a little into the tree, especially on the left. Good for reality, not so dramatic for a picture. Maybe some selective dodging/burning might make him stand out more.
