 ADDICTED

When those referred to as an "endorphine",
Pain relievers, stamina enhancers,
Release and radiate: rushing, roaring
Hear the perfectionist in you answer,
The voice of reason making you improve.

Music starts; Grasp the wooden safety-blanket.
As the tempo quickens you're weaned away
And yet you don't mind that trivial sweat!
Now slow adagio calls for balance, stay..
Engaging muscles help you remain there.

Petit allegro makes you a rabbit:
Hopping, jumping, faster: out of control!
Pirouettes, pique turns: all good habits.
Feel exuberance as you reach your goal:
A triple! Three turns! Now do it en pointe (sigh)...

Throughout the class you continue like this:
Constantly demanding, never satisfied;
No matter how high that grande jete gets,
You always feel lacking when class has died.

You're addicted; stop and you won't survive.

we received her acceptance into the virginia dance program today. Pray and wish all the luck for julliard!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) Leaving on a jet plane today. BRRRRRRRRRRR!
