 This building is on the Historic Register so it can not be torn down. In the meantime, its used as storage for vehicles that have been towed, etc.

After some of the comments this has received I feel the need to point out that this is a Sugar beet factory and warehouse. Sugar beets are white in color and used to make sugar.

Cool building. I too, was wondering where the beet factories are after seeing a piece on the news where a midwest state uses beets to help de-ice their roads in the wintertime! The windows are the color of beets and if you look on the lefthand side rooftop it appears as if a man is waving, but it's really pipes!

Too bad the factory is out of business. Are beets still grown in your region?

Beets and boats. I was wondering where they made beets LOL. Nice shot of a forlorn looking place. Too bad they fenced it off like that so you couldn't roam around and shoot all of the interior.

Looks like the beets exploded on the outside of the building! Why is there razor wire around the outside?

Is this a processing plant for canned beets?
