I don't have high hopes for this one. It was fun anyway. This is actually St. Mary On The Mount church high on Mt. Washington overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. The church was taken near Point State Park juxtaposed against a nearby street lamp.
In PSP X2, NI, levels, channel mixer (boosted red and gree, sunk blue), HSL for yellowish monochrome, curves, USM, resize, JPG.
POST: A new personal worst! Not sure what I was thinking entering this. Truly, I liked the title more than the image. Responding to some of the comments, yes, the sun was bright and the church facade was in the shadows. It faces north and we're talking January in Pittsburgh. I tried to restore some of the details in post-processing, but it didn't work too well. (Anyone notice that the roof is gone?) I do believe however that it met the challenge as well as (if not better than) many of the entries that I saw. Chalk it up to learning...

| Seems a bit bright and blown out to me. I think since the shot is overexposed the contrast and details suffer. I do like the tone in this shot. |
