I played with the curves, creating more contrast and cropped, added border. One of my goals has been to take photographs with better composition that are crisper and clearer, with a better use of light. I feel like I am getting a better feel for it.

There were a lot of excellent black & white photos in this competion, but I think this one would be better in color. There is not enough contrast in the foreground to support the blurry background.
