I wish the depth of field was a little bit greater and the spring in the foreground was also in focus

rotating the image 45 degress would have made the composition more interesting

I love the mechanics exposed in this image....I think having the entire image in focus would add some more drama to this image...

hmm background is distracting, i think the DOF could be increased. very static lighting... and rather rigid framing. Try taking the picture not directly 'from the front'.. and cropping not necesarily so strictly right around the outside.
