My first somewhat successful attempt at photographing smoke. I did it last week in natural light outdoors and it was an abysmal failure (I deleted every shot). This week, I went to my basement and set up my worklights and that wasn't so good either. So I turned out all the lights, set the camera on bulb, fired my flash manually and VIOLA! I have smoke photos. My basement stinks from the incense, though.
I really didn't set out shooting for the "Six" challenge. I was just trying something new, but I found this in one of the shots. The '6' is on the edge of the photo, or I might have gotten a better crop. It will probably score really lousy and if it goes too low, it could be a self-DQ. Who knows?
I like the green coloring of the smoke against the black background. For me, a bit of a stretch to "trick" the viewer into seeing the 6's, but not bad.
