 Had a hard time deciding on what to enter, alot of the ones I really liked I had already posted on here & have been in my portfolio for a while. Hopefully it does better than last years "Best of ..." I thought it turned out kind of dramatic. If it doesn't do well I guess there's always hopes for Best of 2008!

The title fits this shot perfectly because that is the feeling I get from it. Another title could have been "Wasteland".

I looked at this a few times now and everytime I do, I appreciate the result more and more. I like the transition of the light to the shadows on the ground as it passes through the tattered fence. Image is nice and crisp as well. Good Luck. 6.

Very nice lines (vertically along the fence and horizontally along the horizon), and I love how the light drops off to the right of the fence. It looks like a bit of sharpening might help a bit, but I like your vision.

The colours seem almost too warm to really be desolate :) I love that fence-line disappearing off into the distance. Interesting image.
