develop the raw with dpp. in photoshop: crop, levels, dragan action, selective colours, burn some area (already black), selective sharpen, clone out some little white point on the background.

An interesting concept. My biggest problem with this image (a big one for me because it is so glaring) is that the wrench is being used incorrectly.

Really wish the lighting had more of a studio feel to it for this macro shot. I know sometimes it doesn't seem feasible without lighting equipment but a few halogens pointing in the right direction, and this photo shines. Nice use of thirds and simplicity.

nice lighting and focus - good use of the no.6

The only thing that doesn't quite work for me is that the spanner is not even trying to grip the nut - so it's hard to see that it's the wrong size.

Overall nice crisp clean shot though.
