This was taken for the DPL Album challenge. The background was purposely blown out in-camera to create negative space for text. Even without that purpose I think it works for this particular subject/theme.

You know, I thought I'd commented on this during voting, but apparently I do a lot of mental commenting and forget to come back. I was glad to see you entered this - I think you have an outstanding talent for photographing people in real settings and this was one I quite liked when I first saw it. It makes me smile - she looks slyly impish and radiates confidence. Quite a joyful portrait!
