This is the only other shot I took when I shot for the "Four Elements II" challenge. I didn't really want to enter an outtake of one of my high scoring shots as that feels like a bit of a cop-out but with a Free Study each month I don't really have anything else that would score that well. As my "Elements" shot is my PB shot and has over 200,000 views I thought I'd enter this one here as it should earn a 6+ score given the original entry did well.

I have learnt that I need to fire off more shots when shooting, just in case I need to enter multiple DPC challenges!

Here's the shot that won the yellow ribbon in May:

Editing Steps:
Other than a few minor changes I dragged the adjustment layers from the Elements shot onto this one.

Nice scene - what I can discern at this size. Unfortunately I think that there is so much to see in this image, that the size restrictions almost work against it - making it seem like .. so much is confined into a small image - if that makes sense. I'm sure 'wall sized' this would be impressive, although I wonder if the fore right grass might dominate a little too much then.

I am really struggling with the overprocessing of what is a beautiful image. Will be curious to see how this finishes. Good Luck. 5.

This is almost an optical illusion. Amazing contrast between the valley fog and the sun in the clouds. 10

Although I'm a fan of HDR, I think you went a little far on this one. The colours are a smidgen extreme.

very cool sky and excellent foregroundh - i just feel the image seems extremely overprocessed with regards to saturation and choices of hues

This was probably a very pleasing scene to look at, however, the processing is letting it down.

That foreground green is just too bright for me. The rest of it is fantastic.
