So much going on in so little space. I had to have this one. (this is, of course, a close up of the Castro Street house.)

Bird spikes. Yes. those little thin lines on the ledges and on the curve are to keep the pigeons from roosting there and redecorating the facade.

the gadget on top is probably a vent or flue for a fireplace.

Never heard of "bird spikes." Around here you might see a fake owl.

Thanks for the close up! Bird spikes? Is that what those are? They look so strange...What is that on the roof? It doesn't really look like a bird.
