Just the normal stuff, straighten, levels and crop. Small amount of NI, sharpen.

Drove by this place, coming from Denver, to my mom's house its about 70 miles north of where she lives. When I got home to Wichita Kansas, they had this challenge. We were planning to go back to Cimmaron by the next weekend, so drove about 500 miles round trip for this shot :-P. Hope it does OK. One thing I did like about this shot, there were no power poles and lines.

27th place - You were robbed...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really shocked at some of the higher placed images in this challenge. I personally don't think they should have placed as well as they did.

I really like this, though I think there may be too much sky. I think you were trying to get that gorgeous long cloud in the shot. A panoramic crop, or more of the ground in the scene may have worked better.

Excellent. The angle accentuates the height of the weeds perfectly. Great color and quality. Love the title.

I find the farm is too small in the image, and hidden by the trees. I like the color of the sky though.

I may have tried to focus more on the house and less on the open blue sky. Still a good photo.

One of my favourite from this challenge. Such an illustration-like photo. Would make a nice large print. 8.

Lost in the wide open spaces of Kansas? Lovely scene.

Nice shot Dorothy!

Awesome shot! I predict this will be top ten at LEAST, Probably on the front page.

Lucky with the clouds, having them continue the features through the lower third of the shot. Dead space (Blue Sky) looks great, though the detail of the farm falls on the thirds too! God that rule works every time!

Nice and sharp throughout - would look awesome in large print.

The roofs of the distant buildings are the only thing that spiol (term used lightly) the image, though I'm not deducting a point for that!

10.

I really like this, but would have liked if you got a lot closer to the actual house for the purpose of this challenge. But a good photo.
