| I think a portrait like this really depends on the eyes to make it or break it. Since her eyes are too obscured by her expression, it loses something essential that could have really raised it to another level. I like the muted colors and her thoughtful expression. I wonder if you thought about tighter shots to her face, or even just framing it with the top of her head to the left arm? Lots of potential here, but not quite up to the transcendent level that many of these "character" studies seem to achieve. |

| this would gain from a tighter crop on the bottom (almost 1/2) and a bit on the left... nice image |
