Well, this did a respectable placement in the high 5's. Most of the comments were spot on with what I expected to get. My own feeling was it did not have the clarity I was looking for, and may be a little too busy. Taken in evening light, with the sun starting to go down behind the trees, which is why there is a touch of brightness at the lower tip of the reflection.
I found it interesting that the first two commenters both had opposite opinions on the same characteristic of my shot.
I was trying to get the perspective look that the 3 ribbon winners all nailed much better than I did. But, you don't know until you try it.

i love all the different colors scattered around, makes the eye wander from peice to peice of color. the only thing i might have done different would have been to either allows more sky to show to get the deep blue, or change a part of the sky shown here to deep blue.
this photo might be too busy for some, and might have more impact in a higher resolution, but I think this is a great capture with tons of visual interest, and was severely underrated in the challenge. I'm really enjoying the array of colors and the sort of bleached out look you've achieved here.
I think this came out pretty good, but as you note may be lacking a bit in the crispness and clarity that the ribbon winners get. In part that could be the wide aperture - something at f/11 for instance might be crisper, though you'd have to jack up the ISO a bit to get there unless it's dead calm and you have a tripod. You're definitely on the right track with the perspective - what may have hurt this a bit is the centeredness of the approach. In essence, the composition is pulling is toward the eye of the culvert, which may not be the most attractive part of the composition. Still, this did quite well, is a good shot, and is something you've not only learned from but will undoubtedly improve upon in the future.
What little bit of color is in this image ... is over saturated, specifically the reds at the bottom center and the green on the middle right. Colors like that just aren't natural.
