 My current bag loadout for standard London roaming.

Am about to buy a second flash (another 430ex) and an ST-E2, so I may need to move up a bag size to get the second flash in.

You'd be amazed how useful a pen is out in the field - but in the days before EXIF data all exposure info had to be written down frame by frame if you were experimenting, so a pen and book were more than essential. Plus don't you get ideas out on the road whilst waiting for long exposures to finish? I do...so a pen and book is essential :)
