 When Sparks fly you must be in love.
Set the aperture at 5.6 and shutter at 1/6 of sec. In my garage with an endless amount of power tools. I set the focus area mid way between the grinding wheel and the camera. The camera was about 2ft away from the grinding wheel. No lights other than the lights provided by the sparks
