 Some of you might know I am an herbalist. This shelf is something my husband did for me to hang herbs to dry as I gather them during the summer. Having it full of hanging herbs fills me with such joy that I just can't bear to see empty once all the herbs have been gathered. So I leave the last bunches up all winter - to counteract the depressing thought that summer is such a loooooong way from us.

The blackboard reads (in French): If you don't have what you like, like what you have / It is better to know a little bit of a lot of things than to know a lot about one thing.

Processing involved playing with flaming pear's aetherize filter.

The gentleness of the pastels adds nicely to this. It has a very nice warmth to it, too. Whatever that filter does, it does it well. Nice perspective and composition.
