 A truly inspirational school motto...

December 6 Mpika – Mpulungu

Serenje continued… lunch finally came, and was huge helpings of rice with a tomato sauce, pan fired chicken and spinach with green onions. All for K4500 each. (These big numbers are very scary.) We couldn’t finish it. Everyone is so friendly here. They seem to be kinder to their animals than in Botswana too.

We just went through Mpika, which is a lovely village/town. Quite large. I wish we could stop and explore places, but J is very keen on Uganda, so…

I want to come back to Zambia. I really like it. It would be good to do on a bike. I wonder what it’s like in the rainy season.

We have an exciting method of drying our clothes – hang them out the window at 100k/h. People must think we’re mad.

But the future is always becoming the present... I like how this sign interrupts our view, almost like it's intended as some sort of censorship measure.
