Thanks everyone for your comments. I don't know why, but I shot this at f3.5 whereas I usually shoot my macros at f8 or smaller.
I guess I was too busy concentrating on getting the composition just so and overlooked the aperture setting. I'm pretty sure that is why the hand on the left-most clown appears out of focus. I'll try to do better next time.
BTW Where do you guys get the clown stuff from? I had no idea where to look for a clown or even clown clothes!

Nicely isolated subjects, and good use of the black background. Toys always get low scores on DPC though.

Cute little figures and I like the solid background. For me, if there was some other element or maybe set up differently to make it more interesting, I would score it higher.

Colours are not particularly vibrant and either the original was slightly soft or its not resized particularly well. I often add a final USM of 100, 0.5, 0 after resizing before I submit to a challenge

Very snap shot looking to me.

Cute ornaments. I like the one in the center.

Doesn't offer much to me I'm afraid. These are your Xmas tree decorations? I do like your execution though. The black background is neat.

I would be proud to have any of these guys on my tree!

Lacks sharpness and interest for me. Perhaps might of been better in a different pose and maybe even a strong B&W conversion to create a point of difference.

doesnt have the wow factor and your flash is reflecting off the toys. perhaps bouncing the flash off the reflector would have been better. 5

Cute.

Nice use of what you have to try and take a good photo. The focus could be sharper.

So they are. Well-lit and cute little guys, too.

The clowns seem like they could be a bit sharper.
