One of the trees in my yard. The palm is about 35 ft (10 meters) tall. The tree is fine after the freeze, but the philodendron will be dropping leaves and making a big mess in a few days or a week. The top leaves were killed by the freeze.

I love the way that the palm manages to stand out from the rest of the frame, particularly the ring of sky clearly visible around the top of it between it and the other trees.

Read in our newspapers that the citrus growers made it thru the freeze.. HOpe that's true..
Thanxs for sharing a piece of greenery w us.. It's a welcome sight.. When the philodendron starts dropping it's leaves hope the main plant will survive the root systems that is..

Ok - I'm a Palm addict. They don't grow well down here in Melbourne, I have a few, but they don't LOVE the temperature here. I saw palms with 'friends' attached in my holidays up north last year - I'm fascinated by the 'hosting' and think it's beautiful.

Thanks for thinking of us snowbound people! The angle is great, it really shows the height of the tree.
