I didn't put a whole lot of thought into it. I just kinda have wanted to do something like this for a while. It's just a long exposure w/ a flash, and then waving a flame around. Meh, it was fun at least.

very cool concept and illusion. it would be even better if the hand was a little clearer

Interesting idea but having the fire disapearing out the top isn't good

Yay for avatar fans...nice pic too!

Seems a little too unnatural.

Clearly a long exposure. I'm surprised to see how steady that hand was kept for it. Not sure I like the lighting. The bright zone on the right distracts from the visual impact of the fireball.

the greenish overcast is distracting

Idea is good, execution can be better - maybe darker background or farther away? I bet it was hard to keep hand still - maybe 1 or 2 seconds?

The quality of the lighting is so good, the quantity is another question. Maybe with a little less light on the background the flame would pop out more and that would add a lot.

the hand seems a little out of focus to me. the background could be improved in some way (maybe some a solid coloured paper attached to the wall?) some of the fire is lost outside the photo. my eye is drawn off the photo almost immediately.

Great shot! I think maybe it would have looked better with a black background or at least a wall without so many blemishes. Great job. I like the position of the hand.

Well that's clever. Hand is a little blurred, but...

Cool shot. I ike the greenish tint, it gives an eerie feel.
