My pet cat Max. An 8 y/o mixed breed with features of a Main Coon. I was shooting some stills of lacrosse equipment using a black stool with a black fabric backgound. He graciously jumped up and allowed me to shoot a few images of him. Lighted with an off camera snooted sb800.

beautiful cat, just not really sharp on his face so it doesn't really pop.

Lovely warm feel. Not a bad pet portrait at all.

Nice shot of the cat, and certainly isolated by contrast. Not thrilling me though. There's just not much else going on here to grab my interest.

Good job on the lighting, I just wish the cat were more in focus.

I just love that kitty. If it were mine, I might play with the sharpen tool a smidge on the whiskers, but that's just me. Love the use of neg. space.

I feel that there is a little to much negative space - 6
