Another photo taken in Globe AZ. I wish I knew the story behind this building. I may have to go back and talk to some locals, I am sure these buildings all have stories.
I think that's what draws people t these types of shots...the stories that we know must be behind the structures. I wish there was a little more lighting on the door, but I like some of the shaow play in the photo.
This image is very interesting, the texture on the building is really cool. I find the door very inviting for some odd reason even though the building is run down and old.
Technicals, I like the composition of the photo, the positioning of the door in the photo and the entry way of the door gives this photo alot of depth in a shallow frame. I like the sharpness, details and textures of the photo like I said above. The processing of it is really nice. I think the thing that really does it for me is the old weathered door with the cross in it though, it really speaks to me.
Overall, the weathered, battered, look of this photo, the old dryer, the mishung planters, the rusty metal give me a really weathered old photo a feel of unwarering love of god.
Awesome shot! I can stare at this shot for a long time and really enjoy it..I keep finding interesting things like the duct tape holding the old dryer door shut and those lovely pastel pots on the window planter. I love the tone and the lighting...
Well done. Everythng about it tells me this is an old spot - the condition of the door and the sign, the door to the dryer taped shut, the shelf of pots sitting at and angle. I like it.
