Too much light can wash out the edges or other parts of the photo.
Get the exposure correct, then you can always lighten it in Photoshop. |

| I personally like the high key look of this and the way the sides of the tube "disappear" into the background. But when you shoot stuff like this, try to take more than one exposure - shoot at least three so you can have several options to work with. |

| Not sure what your ISO is but it's looking grainy. Make sure you are on ISO 100 and shoot this using a tripod. |
