When my dog deliberately pushed her soccer ball onto the frozen pool cover, I got the idea for the shot. I took three and played around with them a bit and decided upon this one. I liked the crack in the ice and the mottled sunlight.

I like the idea and it's an interesting find. Something just throws me off tho... maybe it's your color tone? On my screen, it all has a bluish-gray color and for me it doesn't work for the pic.
It's interesting... Makes you think a little. I think you could've put it in color because it is a little too simple. You look at it for a while and it's just boring. You could've caught the color of the ice and the beaten look of the ball.
Great shot... leaves you wondering what happened to the kids who left it there. Very melancholy. I love the monochrome and the blackness of the ball. Well done!
