 Yesterday I put the extension tubes on the new lens to try out some macro shots. I shot this ornament several times but didn't like how they turned out so I submitted the other one. Since I had nothing else from today I decided to try again.

The living room mess is combination of post-Christmas stuff and a very active 3 year old. Yes, that's me in the picture, I didn't even think about it when I was taking the picture. Also, I never realized how much dust ornaments collect!

This was 5 shots given the HDR/tonemapping treatment.
new layer, create mask for ornment, darken and blur background
Lucis Exposure and various basic tweaks on ornament.

Well, this is creative and of course so interesting to look at, because what could be more interesting that to see someone's house! Love the processing and the framing in the ornament.

This looks like a happy home to me. I like the round reflection of the rest of the tree with lights around the edge of the ornament. You did a good job of getting the ornament to be front and center, and the darkening of the background helped a lot with that.
