 Today I went for a walk to check out what Santa (aka wickee_one) got me for Christmas.

This house has been abandoned for what what appears to be years, and there is a pickup truck on one side and a Pontiac Fiero on the other. What is the story of this house? Is it foreclosure? Ugly divorce? Siblings fighting over the will? Somehow I get the feeling that there are a lot of untold stories here.

For anybody watching the numbers, this was shot at 70mm, HDR on images of 1/20 & 1/40, handheld with the new lens. The image stabilization is proving to be worth the price - to get 1/20 at 70mm (112 when taking crop factor into account) is amazing. I also was able to take others at longer than 70mm.

Aaaahhh! The pleasures of discovering all the possibilities of a new toy!! That's true Christmas magic.

I just love abandoned houses. i too come up with tons of possible stories for why they are that way. Your PP certainly adds to the mystery feeling.

Interesting foto of the abandoned house can see a posted sign in the window should say @ your own risk:)
