In terms of meeting the challenge, this seems to be to be rather like a piece of prose where it is what is hidden between the lines that is important, something only skilled authors can usually achieve succesfully. For me, you have pulled this off: the hints at a lined and textured face are sufficient for me to fill in the gaps. I really admire your lighting technique - a powerful portrait. |

I love this picture but for the challenge you shouldve had him rotate away from the camera(or moved the light a little) to let a little more light hit the face and show off more texture. |

I didn't think this silhouette was really a texture shot judging from the thumbnail, until I clicked on it and saw all the detail on the forehead. More subtle than most of the entries, but a good job. |

I get the impression that this person's face would have offered a better texture if viewed from the front. I also have to say that on a first glimpse the light from the far cheek looked like something dribbling out of the nose. |
