 This is my friend phillip again. This was SORT of a candid. We just told him to play a song on a guitar and I snapped away. so it's like a studio snapshot.

The curtain's actually the wrinkled backdrop, but since I can't clone it out I made something of it.

blew out the backdrop with vivitar flash on camera left, and lit with alien bees somewhere on the right.

Levels, curves, contrast stuff, B&W via calculations, resize, USM, vignette, save for web.

I don't expect it to do well I guess, looking at the last perspective challenge it seemed like ultrawide +night scenes would be the winning formula. But I really didn't wanna subject myself to the crappiness that is my kit lens.

And I really hope people realize that the perspective is the behind the curtains part. -_-

I love the use of the black and white here. I like the lighting. You could sell this shot! I don't think it fits the assignment

A very good photograph - wonderful tones. A bit of sharpening ziggies on the strings, but hard to avoid at this size. Not sure of the theme tie-in, other than the headles part maybe, but I do like the picture.

I love this photo, but I can't really see the perspective in here. The picture looks crisp and sharp, and good use of lighting. Technically it's great, but I don't see the challenge topic in this picture. 6
