The object in this photograph is an exquisite lead crystal Christmas globe. The globe is illuminated by a internal LED. A sheet of crumpled silver foil served as a light reflecting backdrop. The gold hues are a result of the crystal picking up reflected light from the globes highly polished brass base. Using Picasa the image was cropped,copied and pasted to a black background then zoom blurred. The original cropped image was then overlayed over the zoom blurred copy. The only other editing was contrast, color and highlight adjustments.[dsc_1572.jpg] |
