title is a line from Dylan Thomas' "Fern Hill"

I like the composition of this image, it appeals to me - but for a wider audience, I'm not sure if the juxtaposition of blooming berries and withered berries is clear enough.

Many thanks to xianart for suggesting the topic of this challenge. I enjoyed shooting for it.

I like this a lot. The tension between the fresh berries and the dying berries is wonderful. In fact, I would've cropped it so the blue ones are closer to the bottom and the red ones are closer to the right edge to make that contrast even stronger. Yes, it's a multi-subject composition - that's the point. :)

I think my fave part of this was the dark toned water color background. I liked the forcus on the blue berries - it makes them stand out from all the others, even the blurred ones. I like the composition. My guess is that many did not see the comparison between the two groups (although, i have to admit, I'm still looking for the mushrooms!) :)

Hee! Not Colleen, but I'm delighted to see it's a Sucker just the same. I very much enjoy this image.

Dangleberries! I'm very flattered by the suggestion that this looks like me! Thanks :)Fun dof and great holiday colors. A very winsome wither.

This is neat looking, though I find my eye pulled to two competing corners of the image.

Like the coloring and slight desaturation.

Well the idea is nice. I like the shallow dof and the colors are good. But I think we have too much subject, or too many subjects. I'm not sure if the blue berries or the red berries are the subject.

I like the composition. Did you saturate the colours? They seem a bit oversaturated and the blown out whites are a bit distracting. But all in all a fine photo.

I love the bokeh but most of all, the two different colors of berries. Excellent shot. 8

If I were to guess, I would think this might be Colleen's. (And if not, take it as a compliment just the same!) I love the way the berries reach out - almost literally out of time. Exquisite composition and light.
