 Took this thru my "bird feed station" (limbs and all to make it look more natural). Still struggling a bit with the desired sharpness, think it is because of the relatively low shutter speed.

great shot,and altho its an everyday bird in an everyday setting,i think the challenge calls for more creative thinking and less of being in the right place ,right time thing...i hope im making sense (its early,lol) still gets a 7 from me,would be a 10 in a different challenge.

Nice balance of the bird with the snowflakes in the background- and the bokeh fore and back ~~ real winning picture in my book

This is a compelling picture to me - sure it's a great picture of a bluejay, but it's the snow, the gray, and the cock of the head by the bird that adds something extra.
