 I just and *finally* got a new camera. First entry for a while. I know it's not a brilliant shot but I tried to get to the spirit of the challenge having only the limited resources in my flat since for various reasons I wasn't able to go outside to search.

I don't think it'll do brilliantly, I'm mostly just looking forward to an update button again.

No, it is a brilliant shot! ;D Okay, perhaps it could use a little more contrast... but the composition is just superb, and the tones and details are great. It's the title though, that really got me going. Bravo! :)

It's an amusing everyday scene, but I don't see beautiful imperfections that would make it fit the description of Wabi-Sabi.

I do like the shot, though. Good comp and the use of b/w works well.

Though it's a photo of a simple and not necessarily glamorous thing, it's well wrought, with the kitty bokeh in the background. Definitely has a sense of transience, or more accurately to me, time momentarily paused - a moment that will pass, but for now is remarkably still and quiet.
